Dublin Christmas Market
If you live in or work near the capital, you’ve probably seen this already, but there’s a pretty great Christmas Market in Dublin City at the moment. The market runs along the north side of Stephen’s Green, and, I have to say, is very impressive. The stands run practically the full length of the green and consist of everything from food, and sweets to hand made gifts and other trinkets.
This is the first year it’s been run, and apparently it’s a great success. When I first heard about it I was prepared to be sceptical, but I’ve been to Christmas markets in a few european cities, including Brussles and Vienna, and the Dublin one can hold its own. Well done to everyone involved, and if you get a chance you should stop by. If you can’t here are some photos that I took a little while ago of the market on a sunny weekday morning.
