It's been a while since I've taken any night shots of the city, and over the weekend I had the chance to take some pictures of the Grand Canal area after dark. Grand Canal dock is one of my favourite areas of the city, and the modern architecture combined with the lights and glass make for a great subject.
The two main attractions are the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and the Marker Hotel, but the dock itself, its surroundings and the red lights that make up the plaza in front of the theatre are great at night too. We were lucky enough to have a full moon helping out too. These are all long exposures so if you look you can see some "ghosts" of people walking through the frame as the light was absorbed!
Here's a selection from the shoot. Enjoy.
