It’s been a lovely summer week here in Dublin, and one of my favourite spots to enjoy the good weather int he city is by the Grand Canal between Baggot Street and Charlemont Street. Here the trees provide a nice canopy of shade and the coming and going on the banks of the canal is always interesting.
I took a leisurely stroll down by the banks, with the gentle breeze keeping me cool in the 26-degree heat. I could see dragon flys zipping along the water. Near the dock at Bagott Street where the barges are moored, people were milling about and coming and going from work. A group of artists were also setting up to paint the scene. It was a beautiful summer scene of serene green in the heart of the city.
